MEANWHILE USES

There are emerging proposals for 'meanwhile uses' within the wider site, which are likely to be implemented while the Typhoo Tea Factory building is occupied and until detailed proposals for the wider masterplan are finalised.

These meanwhile uses could include an urban growing project as well as outdoor meeting spaces with access to the canal basin. Pop-up commercial units could also be included in the existing warehouses along Benacre Drive. This would unlock a new location for local businesses and start-ups to establish or expand their presence in the Digbeth creative quarter.
